Camp Breakaway

give a child a breakCamp Breakaway on the Central Coast is committed to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by providing respite care for people with disabilities and their carers. 
Our project covers the cost of a young sibling of a child with high medical needs to attend a respite camp to briefly escape their home environmental of care and responsibilities and just be "children." They have the opportunity to form friendships with others in a similar situation at home.

Special recognition of family carers in our community.Carers

Our club members provide supervision at home, while a carer is treated to dinner and given special recognition at our club

Clarke Road School Hornsby

 Our Club has supported Clarke Road School for over 12 years. The school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with an intellectual disability. See PHOTO GALLERY of club members at work, link below.

Each week our members provide the opportunity for people with dementia and their carers to meet for a little exercise, a chat over a cup of coffee and generally enjoy a break from the confines of home.

Lindfield Fun Run

Held annually in April

  • It's fun for everyone - young, not so young, families, serious runners - everyone!
  • It's for charity - proceeds to KYDS Youth Development Service to help kids in need, plus other Rotary charitable projects.
  • An awesome community day out - around 1,300 participants expected
  • It's Covid safe - join in, and get into the community spirit
  • Awards, sausage sizzle, camaraderie, fresh air - hope to see you there!

Neringah Hospital: Kiosk for Visitors

neringah1In July 2013 we started the Neringah Hospital Project. Neringah is a paliative care hospital in Wahroonga and the project involves the stripout and refurbishment of an old Kiosk which has not been used for more than twenty years. Once complete the kiosk will become a most needed area for family groups to gather with their loved ones when visiting Neringah.

Rotary Youth Driver Awareness

RYDAThis award-winning road safety education program for senior high school students, called RYDA, lies at the heart of a suite of programs developed for young people in years 9 to 12 for road safety education programs for parents and corporate partners. Tree of Joy

The Tree of Joy has been provided by our Club for many years. The aim is to provide Christmas gifts to those people (previously identified by Lifeline) who might not otherwise receive one. Members of the public take a card which describes the intended recipient and return it with a gift.
