The Rotary Club of Ku-ring-gai is a warm and welcoming club which encourages service to the community and fellowship among its members. We participate in regular restaurant and movie evenings together and enjoy listening to speakers who cover a wide range of topics.

Projects in which we are involved range from:

  • supporting local schools in various ways
  • providing solar power to schools in Uganda and Fiji
  • recognising local businesses and their employees who go that 'extra mile'
  • supporting Lifeline with their vital services to Save Lives.

Whatever your passion, you will be able to direct your skills to helping others.

To find out more about us come to one of our regular meetings, or attend Gordon Markets and talk to one of our club members personally.

ShelterBox

ShelterBox has become one of the most effective aid agencies in the world and is still administered by Rotary. Disasters whatever the cause, often result in huge numbers of people left homeless.

Each ShelterBox contains a dry weatherproof shelter, a warm bed, collapsible containers and water purification, cooking equipment, including a multi-fuel stove and eating utensils, a practical toolkit and a children's pack – for 10 people.

The Rotary Club of Ku-ring-gai has donated ShelterBoxes to recent bushfire victims in Australia and for overseas disasters. More...

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards - RYLA

Sponsorship of young people to attend this annual week long live-in leadership training course.

In 2010 as the United Nations prepared to withdraw from East Timor, our members assisted in the conduct of the first East Timor RYLA program in Dili, which was a great success. East Timor had no other forum for training its youth for leadership - when leadership was so desperately needed to avoid a return to anarchy. Besides our club's physical presence, we also found $2,000 to support the program.
This may well be one of the most significant international projects we have ever undertaken.   More Youth Projects...
